SHONGOANE — On Thursday afternoon 26 November, a 11-month-old boy died while his grandmother was feeding him at their house in Phahladira Section in Shongoane.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Police spokesperson, the baby suddenly showed no reaction while she was feeding him soft porridge. She went to seek for help and the baby was taken to hospital where he was declared dead.
WO Mokoena described it as an “unusual incident” and said the investigation continues. An inquest is opened at Villa Nora SAPS.
