LEPHALALE — Molawane Godibolae Bethuri (43) was killed on Saturday 1 September around 21:45 on the corner of George Wells and Nelson Mandela Drives.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Police Cluster Spokesperson, he was a pedestrian when a white Mercedes Benz, driven by Ronnie Mvelase Nkosinathi (33), allegedly hit him. According to information, the pedestrian died on the scene.
A case of culpable homicide was opened at Lephalale SAPS.
Another pedestrian, whose identity was still unknown at the time of going to print, was killed about 20 km from Lephalale on the R518 on Saturday 1 September around 21:30.
He was by hit by a red Audi sedan with registration number HJ 45 TK GP. A case of culpable homicide was opened at Villa Nora Police.
