LEPHALALE — Four people, including a Police Sergeant, were killed in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday 2 July around 15:00 on the Marken-R518 road outside Lephalale.
According to W.O. Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Police spokesperson, it is alleged that a double cab van lost control and collided with another oncoming car. Three people died instantly on the scene and the fourth one was certified dead on arrival at Lephalale Provincial Hospital.
The deceased were identified as Sgt. Kolobe Kennith Ramoroka (39), stationed at Rabasotho Police Station in Tembisa, Gauteng. He stayed in Abbotspoort, Ditloung. The three other deceased are Mr. Rooivel Kutumela (30), Mr. Rapalalo Seun Kutumela (26) and Ms. Mohlao Poulinah Modiba (24). All three of them lived in Kauletsi, Ga-Seleka.
A case of culpable homicide was opened (CAS 13/07/2016) at Villa Nora Police and the investigations are continuing.
According to W.O. Mokoena, a post mortem will be done in Mokopane during the week.
