Art competition

LEPHALALE — Hoërskool Ellisras is hosting their first annual arts exhibition this year. Learners will be divided into different age groups and a winner for each group will be announced during their exhibition evening on 26 May 2016.
The winner ocf each division will receive a cash prize.
Parents or teachers will also have the opportunity to get to know the school’s Visual Arts Department which is launching this competition to raise funds.
Entry fees will be R30 per learner per artwork. (Learners are welcome to submit more than one artwork).
The money should be attached to the artwork in a money bag or envelope.
Each artwork should be mounted with the learner’s name/surname/age and the schools name clearly visible on the front.
To keep the competition as fair as possible, the school will appoint three judges to adjudicate the works. The school requests all teachers/parents not to do the child’s artwork on his/her behalf, although advice is always welcome. All entries can be handed in at the art teacher or you can deliver it by hand to the reception office at Hoërskool Ellisras. The closing date for entries is 24 May 2016. Learners may make use of any medium to portray their theme. (Pastel, pencil sketches, oil-/acrylic-/water paint, mixed media, charcoal, and sculptures).
