Break-ins increase

MARAPONG — A case of business burglary was opened at Lephalale SAPS after suspects broke into the premises of Lephalale FM in Marapong X2 last weekend.

There has been a spade of housebreaking incidents in Marapong recently, and residents have made it clear that they have had enough of it.

Lephalale Cluster Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena confirmed the incident. He said four silver Dell laptops to the value of R16 000; two black LED 32 cm inch TVs to the amount of R6 000, one black Samsung printer valued at R6 000 and a black Samsung music system valued at R3 700 were stolen. The suspects broke the padlock on the door and entered both studios through the ceiling.

Mokoena further added that the incident is likely to have happened between 28 October and 11 November 2019 as the discovery was only made on 11 November around 11:40.

He urged anyone who might have information to contact Police on 014 762 1010/11 or call the national Tollfree number on 086 001 0111or the nearest Police station.
