WITPOORT — A robbery case was opened at Villa Nora Police after suspects broke in to a business in Witpoort on Friday 6 May around 07:00. A red Toyota double cab was stolen and used to transport some of the stolen items.
“The 30-year-old suspect who stole the Toyota, lost control and overturned the vehicle” says W.O. Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson. The suspect was taken to hospital to treat his injuries and W.O. Mokoena says on Monday 9 April he was in the holding cells at Witpoort Police.
More or less four other suspects fled the scene in a blue Toyota Fortuner with a GP registration. At the time of going to press Mokoena said the police were still searching for a Discovery vehicle and the other suspects.
