Cluster arrests

LEPHALALE — Lephalale SAPS Cluster held a back to basics campaign to combat crime from Friday 9 June to Monday 12 June. A number of positive arrests were made.
In the Dorset policing area, two people were arrested for violating the liquor act and one person was arrested for violating a Road Traffic Act (RTA).
In Bulgerivier, two people were arrested for violating the liquor act.
In Hoopdal, three people were arrested for not complying with the RTA and one for reckless and negligent driving.
In the Tom Burke policing area, one person was arrested for aiding and abetting, 17 illegal immigrants were arrested, one person was arrested for rape and one for assault GBH.
In the Villa Nora Policing area, four people were arrested for violating the RTA, one for possession of a dangerous weapon, two for reckless and negligent driving and one for crimen injuria.
In Lephalale, three people were arrested for reckless and negligent driving, one for failure to report a death due to unnatural causes, five for possession of drugs, six for violating the liquor act, two for use of a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and ten illegal immigrants were arrested.
One person was arrested for shoplifting, eight were arrested for driving under the influence of liquor, one protection order was issued, four were arrested for malicious damage to property and one person was arrested for common robbery.
