VILLA NORA — A murder case was opened at Villa Nora SAPS on Sunday 1 July after Mr Kolodi Isaac Matlaba (63), residing in Senita Village, had an argument with William Mafokwane (28). The argument resulted in Mafokwane being stabbed in the back with a knife at around 15:00.

He was allegedly also assisting Matlaba with the search of Mafokwane around the village.
They found him in Bakwena Tavern with stab wounds and he was taken to a nearby clinic after which he was transported to Ellisras District Hospital. He passed away on Monday 4 July.
A case of murder was opened against Matlaba and Mabokela is facing a charge of pointing of a firearm. After the incident Matlaba fled to Tembisa and while he was there he received a call from the police. According to WO Mokoena, his son arranged for him to get back to Villa Nora where he handed himself over to the police. Both suspects are detained at Witpoort SAPS holding cells.
They appeared in Palala Magistrates Court and their cases have been postponed to Tuesday 10 July.
