HOOPDAL — The Police at Hoopdal SAPS are investigating a case of inquest after the death of the 30-year-old Abel Mvubu.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS Cluster spokesperson, the allegedly intoxicated Mvubu was on his way to his workplace from a tavern on Sunday 22 September around 02:00. He probably misjudged the fence of a National Park for the fence of his workplace, and he tried to enter the area by climbing through the bottom electric wire and was electrocuted.
Relevant role players were called to the scene, and he was certified dead by Emergency Medical Services.
The Police investigation continues.
