Farewell to Commander

FLTR: Mrs. Manoko Johanna Seleka, Lt Col Malakia Seleka, Molifi Thomas Seleka former Witpoort Detective Branch Commander

LEPHALALE — Lephalale SAPS Cluster, together with District Crime Intelligence and Provincial members, held a farewell function for Lt Col Malakia Seleka on Friday 25 August. Lt Col Seleka was a Crime Intelligence Commander in Lephalale Cluster.
He joined the South African Police Service on 30 March 1982 in Boksburg North. In 1982 he started his police training at Hammanskraal, thereafter he was stationed at Boksburg SAPS.
On 1 August 1985 Seleka was transferred to Bulgerivier SAPS as a uniform member and on 1 December 1987 he was transferred to Lephalale Crime Intelligence.
He was promoted to Captain on 1 October 2000 and transferred to the Modimolle area. In 2006 he became a CI Branch Commander holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and in 2008 he was transferred to Bela-Bela SAPS with the same rank and position.
From 1 February 2015 he served as Branch Commander Lephalale CI.
At the age of 60 years he can now retire after serving the SAPS for 36 years and 5 months.
