Fog lights illegal

LEPHALALE — The latest trend is that motorists drive with their fog lights or park lights on, because the head lights of their vehicle are red or blue. They do not want the traffic police to see the colour of their lights, therefore they use the fog lights.
Motorists are still ignoring stop streets and in spite of the fact that the issue of noise in the streets has been discussed in the CPF meetings for the past six months, the situation is still the same. “It is general misconduct” said Thys Eloff, CPF chairperson, at the CPF meeting held at the Mogol Club on Thursday 23 June.
The provincial traffic officer who attended the meeting confirmed that it is totally against the law to use any other colour light for your car’s lights.
