WITPOORT — An inquest docket was opened at Witpoort SAPS on Saturday 22 June after Thokwana John Maledi (55) was found hanging in his house in Letlora Village.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS Cluster spokesperson, there was no-one else in the house. It is alleged that his wife left after they had an argument.
Their granddaughter went to their house on Saturday evening, and on arrival, she found all doors were locked.
According to Police, she wriggled herself through the window and then saw her granddad hanging from the roof.
Members from the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC), a representative of Doves, Detectives, members of VISPOL and the Station Commander went to the scene, and an inquest docket was opened.
The investigation continues.
