CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Police are investigating an inquest case after human remains were found on Buisdoring Farm in Cumberland Policing area outside Lephalale.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, it is alleged that on Friday 6 September around 08:00, farmworkers who were busy with their farm duties found human remains on the farm together with a belt and trousers.
The farm owner was informed about their discovery, and Police and members of the Local Criminal Record Centre were summoned to the scene.
Forensic officials removed the remains and at the time of going to print it was unclear whether it is a woman or a man’s remains.
The Police urge anyone who might have reported a missing person in the past, to come forward or call Cumberland SAPS on 060 963 3967 or Police Crime Stop number 086 001 011.
The investigation continues.
