It is with sadness that we inform the community of Lephalale of the passing on of Maemo Salmina Matsoma on Friday 16 February after a short illness.
Those who were close to her will miss her flamboyancy and her kindness to other people.
She was born in Sefitlhogo Village (formerly Rietfontein) and completed her education at Sefitlhogo Primary School and Motlhagwe Secondary School. She furthered her education at the University of Limpopo where she obtained her BA degree in Social Sciences. She also completed a nursing diploma.
Minky worked at the Receiver of Revenue at Groblersbrug Border Post and she was an active member of the Faith Gospel After Christ (FGAC) Church.
The family express their appreciation and sincere gratitude to the superintendent, doctors and nursing staff of Ellisras District Hospital for doing everything medically possible to take care of Minky during her last three days in hospital.
“Keep up the good work, we thank you as a family”.
Minky will be laid to rest on Saturday 24 February in Sefitlhogo Village Cemetery at 08:00. The procession will start at 06:00 at her home.
Minky is survived by her daughter, Mogomohi Masoma, her mother, Mokoachi Sophy Matsoma and her siblings (six brothers and one sister).
