SELEKA — KAEFER Energy Projects (Pty) Ltd, which plays an integral part in providing insulation and access solutions at Medupi and Matimba Power Stations is committed to the upliftment of local communities in terms of skills development and education. They want to ensure that their current operations have a positive impact on future generations.
The second and final phase of Rosina Kotlhao pre-school renovations is completed. Situated in Mtlhasedi Seleka in Limpopo, about 67 km from Lephalale, the school’s relationship with KAEFER began in July 2015 when KAEFER staff visited the school and saw the need to revamp the facilities and to provide a positive learning environment for the young children.
The project was executed in two phases which included the revamping of the classrooms, kitchen and lavatories as well as providing furniture, stationery, teaching aids and a new office building for the school’s staff.
With a staff complement of three teachers and a cook, the two large classrooms, kitchen, toilet block and new office provide facilities and nutritious meals to over 80 children.
KAEFER held a handover ceremony at the school on 18 May 2016.
Viloshini Pillay, general manager at KAEFER Energy Projects (Pty) Ltd emphasized their engagement, on-going involvement and good relationship with the community and said that they believe that their legacy will live on.
Alpheus Maroka, on behalf of Chief Rueben Seleka and the Seleka community, expressed his thanks and appreciation to KAEFER for the investment in their children’s future.
