SHONGOANE — A man lost his finger this last weekend after an uncontrolled shoot-out broke out at the Phahladira Mall in Shogoane.
According to WO Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson, a fight started between two men in the mall after which the one man pulled out his weapon and started shooting between the bystanders. The bullet hit the floor and ricocheted, hitting someone’s finger.
WO Mokoena requests all firearm owners to please act responsibly and to make sure what the rules are regarding when you may shoot and when you may not. “Your competency certificate means that you know when and where you may shoot” he said.
