Lephalale The Musical

LEPHALALE — The Waterberg area is very rich with diverse cultures and heritage. There are lots of stories to be told about the area but there is also lots of talent in the area. Evergreen Arts Centre as a Non-Profit Organisation based in Marapong was formed in November 2013 by a group of talented young people with the aim of developing the arts sector in the area.
Evergreen Arts Centre has also realised the importance of developing a local musical show based on the history of Lephalale and the Waterberg district. Lephalale The Musical is a musical production that aims to tell the story of the history, culture and heritage of Lephalale through song, dance and acting. The producer of the show is Bafedile Masasa and the Director is Thabang Ramabu. The musical shows will take place at Mogol Club on 04 March 2017 and Polokwane Library Gardens on 24 and 25 March. The show has received positive response from the Botswana arts and culture industry and therefore has created a demand for it to be showcased. The production hopes to also showcase at the State Theatre in Pretoria and Grahamstown Arts Festival.
Anyone that would like to make a donation/sponsorship to this production can contact Ricardo du Preez on 073 896 2216 or ricardo.dupreez@yahoo.com.
