Limpopo SAPS arrests

LIMPOPO — The SAPS Intelligence led Joint Operations, composed of various police units in Limpopo, made various successful arrests over the past weekend.
In Seshego outside Polokwane, a 23 year old man was arrested and a 7.65 pistol, one magazine and five rounds were seized.
In Makhado outside Thohoyandou, five suspects aged between 23 and 42 years old were arrested and a Toyota Camry and groceries to the value of R8 000 were recovered. The fifth suspect was arrested with four bags full of avocados stolen from farms outside Louis Trichardt.
The preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects found with the stolen groceries, were terrorising the retail shops around Tzaneen, Thohoyandou and Polokwane areas.
In Lulekani outside Phalaborwa, a 24 year old man was arrested for a series of residential burglary incidents at Matiko Xikaya village and recovered and a Samsung laptop valued at R5 000.
In Giyani, a 29 year old man was arrested for a series of residential burglaries and the following was recovered: two male trousers, one Omega amplifier, one Like DVD player and one Rock sonic machine valued at about R5 000.
In Dennilton outside Groblersdal, two suspects aged 36 and 38 years were arrested during the raiding of illegal liquor trading and 96 bottles full of different liquor,106 empty beer bottles, 19 different beer crates and dagga were recovered.
At Groblersbrug Border Post, two suspects, aged 26 and 38 years old were arrested while travelling from Swaziland to Botswana via South Africa with a stolen Ford Ranger 2.2. The vehicle had a Swaziland registration number KSD 822 BH and was reported stolen on the 17 January 2017 at BB Menlyn in Pretoria.
In Nebo outside Burgersfort, a stolen motor vehicle was recovered but the suspect is still being traced.
The suspects will appear before different Magistrate Courts soon and Police investigations are continuing.
