Minimal amount of Violent Crime in Vaalwater

VAALWATER — The Vaalwater Police are reporting fewer crimes this year compared to the same period in 2014 and 2015.
“Violent crime seems to have decreased in Vaalwater,” said police spokesperson in Vaalwater, Constable Simon Makhuvele, “We have a much larger volume of police-generated cases like drinking in public and possession of illegal substances like dagga, than anything else.”
“If we compare the crime rate and cases opened during the same period in 2014 and 2015 against the number of cases opened in 2016, it is about half,” Constable Makhuvele explained. “This is a good sign and we hope that even petty crime in Vaalwater can start to decrease this year.”
