Murder, business robbery

VILLA NORA/MARAPONG — The police in Villa Nora are investigating a murder case after two biological brothers had an argument on Saturday 1 December around 21:00 in Vienna Village.

According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, it is alleged that the 44-year-old Tshwene Johannes Seanego hit his brother, 53-year-old Malose Frans Seanego, with an axe. He was rushed to Thabaletshoba Clinic where he died.

The suspect was arrested.

In another incident over the weekend in Marapong, Police are looking for three suspects who robbed the Marapong Pep Store.

According to Mokoena, the three men were inside the store in Marapong Spar complex when Vienda Matlou (31), the complainant, was serving customers. The workers were about to close the doors of the shop. The security officer closed the door when he was approached by one of the suspects who pointed a firearm at him and ordered him to go to the store room. Another suspect ordered the other six workers to follow the security officer in the store room.

The suspects demanded money from the victim who gave them R3 000. Thereafter they took two bags, filled with cell phones and PEP club cards. Mokoena said they fled the scene without firing a shot.

At the time of going to print, no arrests were made yet.
