MARAPONG — A murder case was opened at Lephalale SAPS last week after David Shumba, a Zimbabwean Citizen, was declared dead in Polokwane Provincial Hospital.
He was transferred from Ellisras District Hospital to Polokwane on Wednesday 31 July.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS Cluster spokesperson, Shumba was assaulted by someone on 12 July around 21:00 in his house in Marapong. The case docket was opened in Polokwane and transferred to Lephalale.
Following the information during the investigation of the case, the 38-year-old Joseph Senoamadi was arrested by Lephalale Detectives on Sunday 4 August.
He appeared in Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday 5 August and the case is postponed to Thursday 8 August.
