VILLA NORA — A tactical operation, conducted by Lephalale Crime Intelligence (CI), a Lephalale task team and Villa Nora detectives, led to the arrest of the 50-year-old Sunnyboy Masehleng Phahlamohlaka. He was arrested for a business robbery he committed in the Villa Nora Policing area on 4 February.
Sunnyboy’s vehicle, a Toyota Yaris with registration number DZG 088 L was used during the robbery and was recovered by Constables Konaite, Masola and Mokoena during the arrest.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Cluster spokesperson, the arrest led to the arrest of five more business robbery suspects during a Crime Intelligence driven operation on Friday 15 February. The operation was led by Lt Col Mike Mokale and conducted by members of Lephalale CI, Lephalale Cluster Detectives, Polokwane Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Constable Mokwele of Provincial and detectives from Lephalale.
The five suspects are Tshehle Herbert Sefoka (39), Herbert Mokalapa (42) who was also in possession of a pistol and nine rounds of life ammunition, Makotseng Frank Ramoloko (39) also found in possession of a pistol and 19 rounds of life ammunition, Lucky Mokhina (42) found in possession of a Nissan Sentra with registration number RRS 627 GP; and Kgomanoka Mogale Ranape (47).
They appeared in Phalala Magistrate’s Court and the case was postponed to 27 February.
