LEPHALALE — An event to celebrate the completion of Lephalale’s first Partners for Possibilities (PFP) circle, was held at Exxaro’s Manketti Lodge on Wednesday night 15 June.
Nine partnerships were completed, namely Tshukudu 1 with partners Fanus and Gaynor du Plessis; Skuinskloof – Susanna Eckard; Lerekhureng – Thys Eloff; Nelsonskop Primary – Matsobane Kekana; Ditheku Primary – Phuti Mphelo; Sedibeng Combined School – Karen Stadler; Mabelane Seleka Technical School – Sarah Moloto; Phegelelo Secondary School – Jolize Jacobs and Tielelo Secondary – Jackie Prinsloo.
The purpose of these partnerships with a school is leadership skills development. The partners mostly worked with the head masters of the schools.
Each partner gave a presentation of the development throughout the year and what they have achieved.
Louise van Rhyn, founder of PFP and her team as well as Dr. Chris White from the premier’s office and two representatives of Exxaro headquarters also attended the celebration.
According to Astrid Basson, learning process facilitator, she is very happy with the outcome of the partnerships and good relationships were built. “It was a huge success and I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event. A special thanks to those responsible for the décor” she said.
