SHONGOANE — The two suspects who robbed a shop in Phahladira Mall in Shongoane on Sunday 2 February, appeared in Phalala Magistrate’s Court on 4 and 5 February respectively. The case was postponed to Wednesday 12 February 2020 for formal bail application.
Jackson Seanego (31) appeared on 4 February and Calvin Seletela (31) on 5 February. Seletela was shot and wounded while they fled the scene into a nearby farm and he was admitted in Witpoort Hospital.
Seanago and Seletela’s tracks were followed into a commercial game farm in the Overyssel area after the robbery. A member of the Lephalale K9 Unit came under gunfire, he retaliated, and Seletela was hit. Members of the Lephalale Community Policing Forum (CPF) were asked for assistance.
Seanego and Seletela were spotted and arrested while they were hiding in a Nyala Camp on the farm. The stolen money was retrieved.
