LEPHALALE — The SAPS Lephalale Cluster had several positive arrests over the past weekend.
In Lephalale four suspects were arrested for possession of dagga, two for the possession of a dangerous weapon, one for crimen injuria, one for shoplifting, three for assault with GBH, one for rape, one for pointing a firearm and one for possession of a unlicensed firearm.
On Tom Burke, four suspects were arrested for being in the country illegally, one for business breaking, one for theft of a battery and two for not complying to the road traffic act.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson, a Nigerian citizen was arrested in Onverwacht on 13 April for dealing in drugs.
A father also brought his child to the police station because he was in possession of a firearm, but on closer examination, it was realised that it was not a real firearm, but a toy gun that can shoot small plastic bullets.
