LEPHALALE — Members of Lephalale SAPS made a big discovery on Thursday 23 June when they discovered stolen goods hidden in the bushes near Lephalale Mall.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson, they were patrolling the area when they found handbags, a smashed TV, a holster, bank cards and other stolen goods in the bushes. On approaching the nearby house, the suspect saw them and started running away. He proceeded to jump over a wall at the Silver Charms Complex where one of the residents saw him and pressed the emergency button on her security alarm remote. “One of the neighbours and a security guard from Vetus Schola helped the police to catch the suspect” said W.O. Mokoena.
After the police arrested the suspect, Capt. Ditsela of Lephalale SAPS discovered that some of the items found belonged to him.
