SAPS member poaching suspect

TOM BURKE — At 21:00 on Tuesday 19 July, the owner of Palala Lodge was informed by his security that there was a suspect on his property, armed with a hunting rifle that could be used for rhino poaching.
According to W.O. Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson, two suspects were aprehended and arrested. One of the suspects is a constable stationed at Groblersdal SAPS.
At the time of going to press, no rhinos were poached during this incident.
A case was opened per CAS 28/07/2016 and is still being investigated.
