LEPHALALE — Three unknown suspects wearing balaclavas robbed the Sasko Bakery depot on Monday 10 February around 01:00.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS Caluster spokesperson, they cut the outside perimeter fence behind the workshop on the northern side of the building.
They then each pointed a firearm at a dispatch clerk and two security guards who were on duty. Their hands and feet were tied with cable ties, and they were forced into a room. The suspects demanded the car and safe keys after which they left to an unknown place on the premises with one of the security guards. The alarm went off but was cut off by the suspects.
At the time of going to print, the number of stolen goods was not yet determined.
The investigation continues.
