LEPHALALE — Police have launched a search for three suspects believed to have been involved in the murder of the 89 year old Poem Lamprecht on Saturday 31 October.
According to preliminary information the suspects knocked on the door of the farm house at approximately 21:30 on the night of the murder. His wife, Kotie, asked who was at the door and one of the suspects said it was Poem’s grandson. Kotie opened the door and three suspects entered, tying them both up while demanding money. They were both assaulted before the suspects fled with an unknown amount of money, a hand weapon and three cell phones.
Monica, Poem’s daughter, found them the next morning at 11:00 after becoming concerned because she could not get hold of them.
No arrests have been effected yet.
