Shops robbed

LEPHALALE — Lephalale SAPS launched a manhunt after two unknown males entered the MTN Store in Lephalale Town and pointed a hand weapon at an employee.
According to the employee, the two men demanded access to the safe and ordered her to sit quietly to enable them to search her.
They demanded cell phones but were informed that MTN does not keep a supply of cell phones in the store, they order cell phones as required by customers.
The suspects stole CCTV cameras as well as a cash amount of R200.
Information was received that the suspects got away in a grey VW Jetta with black mags. No further information about the car was available as the CCTV cameras were also stolen.
On Wednesday 22 March 2017 around 09:00 the Samsung shop in Lephalale Mall was also robbed by armed suspects. According to eyewitnesses, they fled the scene in a grey Mercedes Benz with tinted windows. At the time of going to press the suspects were still on the run.
According to information received, the Markhams shop was also robbed on Monday. It is alleged that these cases can possibly be connected.
