SHONGOANE — Two armed men walked into a shop in Shongoane on Sunday 4 September and demanded money from the Chinese owner aged 38.
According to Captain Ditsela of Villa Nora SAPS, the two men were armed with a gun and steel pipe and confronted the man and his wife and a child who was a customer in the shop. They allegedly pushed the child inside the shop before approaching the owner who refused to give them money.
According to Ditsela they dragged him outside and one of the suspects shot him from behind after which they fled the scene in a silver VW Polo.
A case of armed robbery and attempted murder were opened at Villa Nora SAPS.
At the time of going to press, W.O. Mokoena, Lephalale SAPS spokesperson confirmed that no suspects were arrested yet, but the matter is under investigation.
