SHONGOANE — The Bopanang Bangalong Women’s group added some Middle Eastern flavour to their monthly meeting recently held in Shongoane 4.
Flat bread is baked all over the Middle East. Nomads in the Arabian Desert bake it in a pipe over an open fire. The group had a lesson in the art of baking with yeast and finished off with baking flat bread and pita bread.
Emmy Modise also gave some feedback on her visit to Tzaneen and Letaba looking at women’s entrepreneurial successes. “If you are serious about creating your own business and doing the work, you will make a success,” says Emmy.
The group had already knitted slippers, made Wonder Bags, hats, pot holders and various other craft objects. “We have the talent. We just need to apply ourselves,” she believes.
