Suspected stolen cows recovered

MOKOPANE — Members of SAPS Provincial and Mokopane stock theft unit arrested two suspects between the ages of 30 and 31 for possession of suspected stolen stock on Friday 17 February.  
According to a provincial statement, the two suspects went to Mokopane Vleissentraal around 11:00 where an auction was being held. The police received information from members of the community that there were two young men on their way to sell 10 cows that were presumably stolen.
On arrival, the Police indeed found the cows being transported with two bakkies with trailers.
Cows to the value of R100 000 were recovered. The duo from Seshego appeared in Mokopane Magistrate court on Monday 20 February.
Investigations are continuing.
