LEPHALALE — Up4SA, a prayer initiative from the AGS El Bet-el congregation was held at Molalatau Lodge on Sunday 24 February.
Herman Ferreira and his wife Annemarie organized and led the proceedings.
After praise and worship through song, community leaders from various denominations had five different prayer sessions.
The group prayed for the following: Government (national and local), Public Services like the SAPS, Traffic, Justice and Defense Force Services, the Healthcare System, the Church, the body of Christ, rain, crops and safety in the Agricultural sectors, salvation of lost souls, the economy and poverty, as well as for honesty, integrity and character in the business system and in the workplace.
Prayers also went out for marriages and families, mothers of our nation, orphans and the destitute and for men to be good fathers and husbands. They prayed for the youth of our country to resist substance abuse, to stand strong against emotional abuse and the educational institutions to look after the youth in good faith and responsibly.
During the last session prayers went for peace, forgiveness and unity for our beloved country as wells as reconciliation.
The initiative was attended by more or less 80 people.
