Victim stabbed in robbery

SHONGOANE — A business robbery took place in Shongoane 2 Village in the Villa Nora policing area on Saturday 6 January around 19:30 and one person was injured in the incident.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Cluster Spokesperson, four unknown suspects arrived at the shop with a silver grey Mazda, registration number unknown.
Mokoena said they entered the shop and one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the cashier while demanding money. The cashier denied to give him any money whereafter one of the other suspects stabbed the cashier four times with a knife.
The four suspects stole money, airtime, cigarettes and two cell phones from the shop. The injured cashier was taken to Witpoort Hospital with a private vehicle.
Mokoena said at the time of going to print, no case docket was yet opened.
Investigations continue.
