LEPHALALE — Carre-Lee Armstrong, a former learner at Hoërskool Ellisras and currently a student in Somatology at Potchefstroom Akademie, is a finalist for the 2018 Apprentesses Competition.
It is a competition to empower young ladies in the entertainment industry of South Africa and the perfect platform for any young female between the ages of 18 and 30 to pursue their dreams to be in the spotlight!
According to Carre-Lee, being an Apprentesses finalist gives her the chance to become an ambassador for a certain brand or company in Limpopo or Lephalale, inspiring young women to reach out, follow their dreams and to develop skills.
“During my journey as an Apprentesses finalist I have been overwhelmed by all of the opportunities.
Some of Carre-Lee’s highlights during her journey as finalist are being able to meet wonderful and famous people like Miss World Rolene Strauss at the Miss SA 2018 crowning, the Afrikaans actors from Binnelanders, Getroud met Rugby, etc. She had the opportunity to be a VIP at the Krone 5 music production and she attended the premier of the new Afrikaans movie, Stroomop.
She also attended Bootcamps with many inspirational people, like Elsubie Verlinden from Just You Model Agency with a branch in New York.
“I am humbled and truly thankful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing journey and to be spoiled by the many amazing sponsors. I would like to thank each and every one from the bottom of my heart,” Carre-Lee says.
