Warning to truck drivers

LEPHALALE — A man was robbed of his personal belongings in the early morning hours of Saturday 9 September after two unknown men approached him while he was parking his truck in Jan Lee Street next to Engen.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena from Lephalale SAPS Cluster, the man was parking his truck when six men approached him and opened both doors.
They threatened him with knives and one of the men with a Zulu accent told him that he is taking revenge because his brother used to work for a farmer in the area, the owner of the truck, and he was fired.
The six suspects, while threatening him with knives, instructed the truck driver to undress where after they took his wallet, bank card and cell phones to the estimated value of R5 000.
W.O. Mokoena warns truck drivers not to engage with any strangers. “Lock the doors and do not talk to them” he said.
