Clever Kids, regardless

LEPHALALE — The Clever Kids nursery, pre-primary school, learning and after care centre, opened its doors this year on 1 November and the open day was held on Thursday 30 November. The owners of Clever Kids are Annemie Oberholzer and Alta Bruwer.
Talking to Annemie, she says she became aware of the need when they moved to Lephalale almost a year ago. Annemie had a school in Rustenburg for many years, the Edu World Pre-School, therefore she doesn’t lack experience. It was her dream to do something similar in Lephalale and her dream came true with the establishing of Clever Kids, a refuge for children, regardless of race or skin colour.
She says they were overwhelmed by the number of applications since the school opened its doors – so much so that although she initially wanted to open a Pre-School only, she has decided to go all the way.
Clever Kids is registered as a Tutor Centre and they received a certificate.
Clever Kids uses the Impak Home Schooling Programme for learners from Grade R-3 and they follow the Grow Curriculum for children aged 1-5 years. They also accommodate babies from the age of three months.
Other extras include swimming and computer lessons at no additional cost, because it is included in the school fee. If everything goes according to plan, there will be remedial classes as from June 2018.
Transport is available to and from school for those who don’t have their own transport.
Clever Kids opens at 05:45 and closes at 18:00 each day from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
The school is open until 22 December 2017 and will reopen on 8 January 2018.
