VAALWATER — Waterberg Academy is proud to announce that five of their archers have been chosen for the National Archery Schools Programme (NASP) South African Development Team.
“In 2015 four of our learners were selected to participate in the NASP SA Development Teams, so we are delighted that this year five of our talented archers were chosen for this elite team,” said Andre Bridger, archery coach at Waterberg Academy.
“This is the third consecutive year that the Academy have managed to get archers selected as part of this team. We are so proud of these students and wish them well,” said Mark Godfrey, the principal of Waterberg Academy.
Heidi Carlton, one of the NASP organisers in Limpopo, and also a Waterberg Academy parent announced the news on Friday 8 April at the school. Carlton read out a message of congratulations to the five learners, Moses Molekoa, Tivani Mkansi, Phenyo Mochusi, Natasha Muringisi and Charlton Mwenesani and to the school from Wilhelm Greef, President of NASP South Africa, and from herself.
The archers will be competing at the All Nation Allstar Championship at Alpine Heath in KwaZulu Natal. The date of the competition is still to be confirmed.
