Belt grading event

LEPHALALE — Some of Mogol Club Mixed Martial Arts students and members of Pro Perfection Self-defence consultants had their belt grading on Saturday 8 April for Shotokan Traditional Karate and Kickboxing.
The grading was conducted by Shihan Pieter Pretorius, 7th Dan and Style Head from Kathu and Sensei Thys Smith from Mogol. Shihan Pieter is also the national coach and team selector for forms and Kata’s for the South African team.
The grading was conducted in the form of a seminar and after almost three hours of intense training and evaluation the students were awarded their belts.
The highlight of the day was the awarding of Sensei Jannie van der Walt with his Third Degree Black Belt (Sandan Grading).
