Karate students compete in Cape Town

LEPHALALE — Beck Bekombe from Mogol Taekwando karate club has already made a name for himself and his students in Lephalale. He together with six of his students and Master Joe Tangu Makuta who supported Beck, took part in a tournament on the 17 and 18 February in Pinelands, Cape Town, but were also treated to an excursion to the well-known Camps Bay.
During the grading, which took place on the first day Thelma Bote and Elias Alfred Muhle received black belts. On Saturday, the competition was held and the bushveld competitors performed really well.
Achievements were as follows:
Thelma Bote – two gold medals in Fight and Kata
Naomi Bote – gold medal in Fight
Karabelo Mhohale Ninja – gold medal in Fight
Masupa Mentu – silver medal in Fight
Lutendo Masupa – gold medal in Fight
Tiger Ketthon – gold medal in Fight
Elias Alfred Muhle – bronze medal in Fight
Joe Tangu Makuta – gold and silver medal in coaching
Master Beck Bekombe – one gold, one silver and one bronze
