VAALWATER — Three riders from Waterberg Academy once again participated in the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) third qualifier on Saturday and Sunday 11 and 12 June, in Vivo.
“Bad weather conditions definitely affected the horses and rider’s performances,” said parent Adriana le Roux.
Lyandi van der Merwe riding Charlie was a star in all her classes and achieved three second places in Show Jumping, Working Riding and Performance Riding Level 1.
Ruben le Roux, on his horses Teddy II and Sweep, managed to attain a first place in the Working Riding Level 3 category and a second place in Equitation 70 centimeter.
Leo Baber faced some challenges with his horse Cavello but his commitment and bravery to the competition was commendable.
