3 cases withdrawn by procecutor

LEPHALALE — An alleged shooting incident where Mpho Modimakwane (42) claimed that he was shot 11 times by Hannes Pretorius from Charlestown Farm drew a large amount of attention from the public.
The foreman on the farm, Frank Monanyane (33), said in a statement that it was in fact he who shot Modimakwane out of self defense and to save the life of Pretorius’ son.
Moloko Segomotso (40), a part-time worker on the farm Charlestown, also came forward and said in a statement that Modimakwane tried to kill him and left him for dead.
On Monday 20 November, Hannes Pretorius, Frank Monanyane and Moloko Segomotso were at Lephalale Police Station to make statements.
On Wednesday 29 November, Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena from Lephalale SAPS confirmed to Mogol Post that all three cases were withdrawn by the State Prosecutor.
