MARKEN — K.K. Monare Primary School at Ga Monare Village outside Marken held a prestigious award event on Thursday 22 November.
Kamogelo Motshegoa, the best learner in Grade 5, received a cash prize of R500, a dictionary, a scientific calculator and a trophy.
A yearly reward, supplied by Abel Tlhong, was also handed over. According to Tlhong, one of the reasons learners fail is a lack of motivation to never give up on their studies.
“I will continue to support education with favour and fear. Secondly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the motivational speaker of the day, Mrs Boya. She motivated the Grade 7 leaners with integrity and pride,” Tlhong concluded.
