Businessman robbed

SELEKA — A case of business robbery was opened at Witpoort SAPS after business owner Dawite Makebo Somano (22), a Somalian citizen, was robbed by two unknown men.

According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena, Lephalale Cluster spokesperson, it is alleged that Somano was at his business premises, Seleka Blue Star tuckshop, when two unknown men entered the shop. They allegedly grabbed him by his throat and tied his hands and legs with a rope.

They then searched the shop and escaped with cigarettes worth R1 200 and R4 000 in cash.

According to WO Mokoena, Somano doesn’t know the suspects.

The investigation continues.
