Community furious

VILLA NORA – The community of Villa Nora caught a 25-year-old man on Friday 6th May after he had robbed an elderly woman of her cell phone and money. The woman called for help and the community stopped the man and then attacked him.
According to W.O. Frans Mokoena, Lephalale police spokesperson, the police were not far from the incident and were quick to help. The community were furious that the police had come to help and pelted the police vehicle with stones.
W.O. Mokoena says a case of common robbery was opened.
