Copper recovered

LEPHAHALE — Lephalale Community Service Centre (CSC) arrested 18 suspects for being in possession of copper cable with the estimated value of R10 000 on Friday 20 October around 00:40.
According to Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena from Lephalale SAPS, 17 of the suspects managed to get away after the arrest and only the driver of the vehicle, Mr Wilson Zebra (42), is in custody.
WA Mokoena says Police were following a vehicle that seemed to be suspicious and then made the copper discovery.
The recovered vehicle, the copper as well as a generator were booked in the SAPS 13 register.
According to Police, it is suspected that the copper cable was stolen from Eskom.
