LEPHALALE — On Tuesday 23 June, Eskom Medupi donated 114 boxes of fresh milk (with six litres of milk in each box) to the Department of Social Development (DoSD) in Lephalale.
The donated fresh milk, valued at approximately R8 000, was handed over to Ms Mokgonami, Social Work Supervisor of the local Department of Social Development. “This donation will benefit 114 families in our communities. Contributions of this nature are always appreciated as milk is part of the food parcels given to destitute families,” said Ms Mokgonami.
Eskom’s spokes-person said they will continue to support needy families in its vicinity.
“The project hopes the donated fresh milk will keep the beneficiaries warm as they brave the cold weather and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to the livelihood and the national economy.”
