Head-on collision — 2 dead

LEPHALALE — Two people died in a head-on collision between a red BMW and a silver double cab Ford Ranger in Nelson Mandela Drive on Wednesday 22 February around 10:00.
The driver of the car, a 32 year old male who apparently worked at Medupi and his passenger, a 26 year old lady, died on the scene. According to a paramedic on the scene, they both had very serious impact injuries.
The driver of the Ford Ranger, Mr JJ Minnaar, was injured and taken to Mediclinic Lephalale for treatment. At the time of going to press, the severity of his injuries could not be determined and the cause of the accident was also not yet known.
The names of the deceased could not be released at the time of going to press as their families had yet to be informed.
