LEPHALALE — Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Ndzimande, recently approved the appointment of Vincent Solani Ngobeni as the principal of Lephalale TVET College.
Limpopo Regional Manager, Frans Ramonyatse, visited the college last week to congratulate Ngobeni on his new appointment. Ramonyatse said he told Ngobeni that their performance agreement would be based on how students perform.
He also encouraged him to value and treasure his staff as they will be the team to support his vision to move the college forward.
Ngobeni’s responsibilities are not new to him as he has been the acting principal since the departure of Lekau Mamabolo in 2018.
In that period of his interim leadership, the college managed to secure position one in National Certificate Vocational and Business Studies provincially.
Lephalale TVET college council Chairperson Glory Mashaba also congratulated Ngobeni on his newest appointment as the principal.
Mashaba said the council is excited to have a driver with a license instead of a temporary permit as this will give the college stability and accountability.
In his speech as the newly appointed principal, Ngobeni used the opportunity to share his vision with members of management.
“It is difficult to share a vision that has already actualised. In 2019, the college’s vision was to lead in terms of performance provincially, and we have realised this dream as a team.
We will also strive to ensure that we pull our socks in engineering to ensure that it also comes to the party,” he said.
